Haroun qualifies to 400m finals in Ashgabat
Ashgabat, September 19, 2017-Qatar's Abdalelah Haroun qualified to the finals of 400m event at the 5th edition Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games on Monday.
Haroun led the standings of the semifinals with a time of 48.83 seconds.
In 800m event, our champion Jamal Hairan clocked a time 1.54.54 minutes to led the standings of his group and qualify to the semifinals to be staged on Tuesday.
Haroun also qualified to the semifinals of the same event a time of 1.54.06 minutes.
Moreover, Yasser Salem and Hashem Saleh qualified to the finals of 3000m event. Yasser Salem led his group in the heats with 8.22.72 minutes while Hashim Saleh occupied the third place in his group.
The billiard competitions will begin on Tuesday as Qatar's Waleed Majed and Bashar Hussain will compete in 9-ball event.
On the other hand, the Qatari swimming team will fly to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on Tuesday to participate in the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
In the swimming competitions, the state of Qatar will be represented by Abdulaziz Hassan Al Obaidli, Abdulrahman Hesham, Feras Al Saeedi, Mohammad Fahad Hussain, Mohammad Mahmoud, Abdulllah Mohammad Abu Ghazallah, Nasser Yasser Hassan.
