DOHA, March 20, 2018 – Qatar's senior football team continued its regular training sessions at the Aspire Academy playground on Monday in preparation for the upcoming International Friendship Tournament scheduled from 21-27 March in Iraq's city of Basra.
This tournament is a first football activity will take place in one of three Iraqi cities since being banned by FIFA not to host official matches of Iraqi teams and clubs.
Earlier on Saturday, Qatar team head coach Felix Sanchez announced the team list comprises 21 players due to travel to Basra city of Iraq.
It is worth mentioning that the prestigious tournament will bring together three Arab nations, Qatar, Syria and hosts Iraq.
