Local players shine in Qatar Asian Junior Tournament
DOHA, April 8, 2018 – Qatar's Nasser Al Yafei and Rashed Nawaf confidnelty claimed titles of both single and team events in Qatar Asian Junior 14&U on Saturday.
In the singles event, Rashed Nawaf claimed the title after defeating Hong Kong's Malhal Rajbal 3-6 and 6-1 in the final event. While in double event the duo Nasser Al Yafei and Rashed Nawaf defeated Indian counterparts 3-6 and 7-5.
The event is organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) in coordination with the Asian Tennis Federation.
The event brought together 100 players from Pakistan, Jordan, Lebanon, Nepal, Iran, Uzbekistan and hosts Qatar.
