Students star in SOP Tennis Finals
DOHA, April 13, 2018 – School students from different educational levels and age groups have impressively ended their participation in the tennis competitions of Schools Olympic Program 2018 on high note at the Khalifa international complex for Tennis and Squash in Doha on Thursday.
HE Rabia Al Kaabi, the President of Qatar School Sports Association and Head of SOP Organizing Committee has lauded high technical level performance shown by all students in the tennis finals.
At the victory ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Al Kaabi and Mr. Abdulrahman Al Moftah, the SOP Executive Director jointly honored the winners in a festive sport scene also appreciated the students' talent and skills in the game.
The SOP is held annually as a collaborative effort of Qatar School Sports Federation (QSSF) and Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with hundreds of student athletes competing from all over Qatar.
The SOP committee aims to spread a culture of sports throughout Qatar's schools and to engage the entire community in active and healthy lifestyles while retaining local values and traditions.
