Qatar young athletes sparkle in Arab Championship
AMMAN, April 20 , 2018 – Qatar's Muaz Mohammed Ibraheem and Mohanad Khamis confidently earned two gold medals for the country in the Arab Youth Athletics Championship 2018 held in Amman, Jordan on Thursday.
Qatar's Muaz Mohammed Ibraheem made impressive performance to seize shot put gold, while his teammate Mohanad Khamis secured the second gold for Qatar in 3000m steeplechase.
On other hand, Qatar's Abdulrahman Samba recorded the best world number in 2018 in the 400m steeplechase.
Qatar team is represented by elite young athletes including Saoud Abdulaziz Al Homaidi in (110m steeplechase), Jabir Hilal in (100m and 200m events), Abdulrahman Al Khater (100m and 200m events) , Mohannad Khamis ( 3000m steeplechase and 1500m) along other names in discus throw, high jump and shot put.
