HE Sheikh Joaan honors winners at Camel Racing Festival
DOHA, April 22 , 2018 – His Excellency, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, the President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), on Saturday honored the winners of the six main races of the eighth day of Arabian Camels Race Competition for the Sword of the Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, which took place at the Al Shahaniya racetrack.
HE Sheikh Joaan honored Mr. Hamad Mohammed Oqail with the silver Shafla , the owner of camel “ Mansoorah" who won the main race ( Thanaya Bakar) and Fahad Mohammed Al Dossari owner of camel (Maheed) who won the second main race.
His Excellency also crowned Mr Nasser Abdullah Al Mosnad owner of camels Khlood and Al Algam who won two main races.
The prestigious competitions will continue in two periods morning and evening on Sunday until Wednesday.
The Arabian Camel Festival competitions received overwhelming response from camel race lovers, owners, breeders and fans.
