WASHINGTON, August 4, 2018 - Qatari Bowling team won the title of 2018 World Youth Championship held the United State, after winning two gold medals in the teams competition and the all-event.
Ghanem Abu Jassoum won the gold medal of the All-Event leading the 132 players in the general ranking. Abu Jassoum scored a total of 1428 point in the singles competition, 1353 points in the doubles competition and 1360 points in the teams competition to top his peers and claim the gold medal.
The Qatari team won their second gold medal in the teams competition where the team members; Ghanem Abu Jassoum, Jassim Mohammed Al Muraikhi, Mohammed Hamad Al Muraikhi and Jassim Ibrahim Al Theyab shined and owned the lane, with their coach Pedro Merani.
The Runner-ups were the Swedish team who won one gold and two bronze medals, while the Danish team took the third place with a single gold medal.
President of Qatar Bowling Federation Abdulsalam Abdullah congratulated the Qatari people on this victory and the great achievement that is added to the successes achieved by Qatari sport under the wise leadership of the state. He praised the great international achievement and the performance of the players who represented Qatar Bowling in the best way.
