CAIRO, Egypt, August 7, 2018 - Qatar team confidently claimed two silver medals in double finals for both Youth and grassroots at the conclusion of Arab Table Tennis Championship 2018 in Cairo, Egypt on Monday.
Qatar youth duo Mohammed Abdulwahab and Abdurrahman Al Nagar claimed the silver medal , following their lost at the hands of Egyptian Ali Ghalab and Omar Gamal Al Hamsi in the final clash , while Bahrain team clinched the third place.
On the same track of victory, Qatar grassroots duo, Sultan Al Kowari and Rowad Akaram won the runners places after defeated by Egyptian Yaseen Wail and Yaseen Yassir in doubles final.
The prestigious event brought together 17 Arab nations including Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Palestine, Sudan, Iraq, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon hosts Egypt who are competing in different categories.
Around 386 players competed in five different categories of Under-21, Under-18 and Under-15 years.
