Asian Para Games kick off in Jakarta
JAKARTA, Indonesia, October 7, 2018 - Under the logo ( Unity in Diversity) the 2018 Asian Para Games officially got underway in Indonesia's capital Jakarta on Saturday.
The prestigious games are bringing together 3000 athletes with various disabilities from 43 Asian nations to compete in 18 sport event.
Qatar's champion Nasser Al Suhooti acted as flag bearer to lead the country's delegation in the opening ceremony parade in Jakarta.
Qatar is scheduled to participate in Athletics and goal ball competitions with elite young athletes and some old names including Hassan Al Kahwagi, Abad Al Shamali, Mohammed Hammam, Mohammed Al Kalhoot, Abduhadi Al Maryood, Abad Waleed Al Shamali and Ekrami Ahmed.
