Students interact with SOP football competitions

DOHA, November 15, 2018 – The football competitions for private schools (level two) at the prestigious Schools Olympic Program (SOP) continued successfully at the Aspire playgrounds on Wednesday.

In the group B, Newton secured a comfortable 6-1 victory over British International School and Al Noor School outclassed British International school 6-1.

In the group C, Al Zeitoona school beat Phoenix school 2-0 and Cambridge school sealed 5-0 victory over Noble school.

In the group F, American Academy outclassed Green Wood 3-0, while Rajagiri Public School defeated American Academy 6-0.

The SOP is held annually as a collaborative effort of Qatar School Sports Federation (QSSF) and Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with hundreds of student athletes competing from all over Qatar.

The SOP committee aims to spread a culture of sports throughout Qatar's schools and to engage the entire community in active and healthy lifestyles while retaining local values and traditions.
