Thani Al Kuwari elected OCA Vice President for West Asia

Bangkok, March 4, 2019- HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) chaired the Qatari delegation participating in the 38^th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) held in Bangkok Yesterday.

The meeting was also attended by the QOC Second Vice President HE Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari and the QOC Secretary General HE Mr. Jassim Al Buenain.

During the meeting, the QOC Second Vice President HE Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari was elected as the OCA new Vice President for west Asia while HE Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah was re-elected President of the OCA. The meeting also discussed a number of issues related to development of Asian Olympic movement.​
