Rashed Nawaf wins Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris Tournament
Stockholm, March 6, 2019-Qatar's Rashed Nawaf claimed the title of Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris Tennis Tournament for Juniors under 14 years held in Stockholm, Sweden recently.
In the final match, Rashed Nawaf Qatar defeated Russia's Yaroslav Demin 6-1 6-0 to be first Qatari players to win this tournament in its 119 years history.
In his route to the final, Nawaf defeated Nicolas Philibert of Great Britain 6-2 6-4 in the first round, then he edged past Croatia's Patrik Jurina 6-4 6-2 in the second round.
In the third round, Nawaf stunned Albert Saar of Sweden 6-2 6-2 before beating Maxim Zhukov in the quarterfinals
In the semifinals, Nawaf defeated Serbia's Aleksa Pisaric 7-5 4-6 6-1.
