Qatar book place in Katara Beach Volleyball Open Quarterfinals
DOHA, March 15 , 2019 – Qatar's Beach Volleyball team (A) cruised their way to the last eight stage of the 2019 Katara Beach Volleyball Open , following their victory over Russian duo on Thursday.
Qatar's team (A) consists of Cheriff Younis and Ahmed Tijan outclassed their Russian opponents Vyacheslav Krasilnikov and Ole Jestoyanovsky 2-1 ( 12-21, 21-18 and 15-8) to book place in the quarterfinals.
The Qatari duo will shake hands with Polish counterparts in the last eight clash .
The event is organized by the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) in cooperation with Katara Cultural Village.
The tournament is bringing together 64 teams from 28 countries including Oman, Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Venezuela, USA, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Chile, Ukraine, Nigeria, Brazil, Slovenia and Qatar.
