Shooting competitions concluded at SOP
DOHA, March 19 , 2019 – The shooting competitions for secondary and preparatory educational stages were successfully concluded in the Schools Olympic Program 2018-2019 at Tarek bin Ziyad Secondary school on Monday.
In the air rifle 10m event for secondary schools, student Abdurrahman Mohammed Al Yafe from Omar bin Khatab school won the first place. While in rife 10m event, Musab bin Omair school claimed the first place.
In air rifle 10 m event for preparatory schools, Saad Ahmed Al Sulaiti from Al Razi school won the first place.
In the air pistol for preparatory stage, Ibraheem Saad Al Mohannadi from Omar bin Khattab school won the first place.
The SOP is held annually as a collaborative effort of Qatar School Sports Federation (QSSF) and Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with hundreds of student athletes competing from all over Qatar.
The SOP committee aims to spread a culture of sports throughout Qatar's schools and to engage the entire community in active and healthy lifestyles while retaining local values and traditions.
