Qatar Beach Volleyball Beat Slovenia in FIVB Tour in Warsaw
WARSAW, June 14, 2019 - Qatari Beach Volleyball duet Ahmed Tijan and Sherif Younison Thursday beat Slovenia's Jan Pokersnik and Nejc Zemljak 2 - 0 (24 - 22 and 21 - 18) in the four-star Warsaw stop on the 2019 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour.
On Friday the Qatari team will play their second match in the tournament against the US duet Trevor Crabb and Tri Bourne.
The Warsaw round is a major stop in the qualifiers for the upcoming Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020). Qatar first team are ranked third in the standings with 2520 points.
