QOC celebrates Olympic Day 2019

DOHA, June 24 , 2019 - The Sport Affairs Department of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) in partnership with, Qatar Swimming Federation (QSF) and Qatar University organized the 7th edition of " Swimming For All Tournament" at Hamad Aquatics Complex in Doha on Sunday.

QOC as a governing Olympic body in the country has staged the event to mark the IOC's 125th Anniversary which coincides the 23rd of June every year.

Sunday's prestigious event has brought together 130 participants from three age groups, U-17, U-23 and 24 and over , to compete in three sport classes: 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 4x50m freestyle for all age groups.

Accredited referees from the Qatar Swimming Federation have managed the competitions based on FINA's refereeing system, by counting all results and times of any event in each age group.

In the U-17 category, Mohammed Al Masri clinched the first place, Abdulaziz Al Obaidely seized the runner-up positon, third place went to Faras saify.

In the U-23 category, Malasovic won the first place ahead of Waleed Daloul who snatched the second place, while Marwan took the third place.

In 24 category and over, Justin Cortez won the first place, Mostafa Mostafa finished and Ahmed Ghaith Attari clinched the third place.

At moments of victory ceremony, Mr. Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber, Director of Sport Affairs Department honored the top winners, amid attendance of QSF staff and employees of QOC's sport affairs department.
