China defeat team Qatar in Volleyball Friendly
Beijing, BEIJING, China, July 31 , 2019 - Qatar's volleyball team suffered a 1-3 defeat at the hands of Chinese counterparts in an international friendly match took place in Beijing , China on Tuesday.
Team Qatar have displayed impressive performance against strong Chinese opponents , but lost the game ( 25-18, 25-20- 25-19 and 25-23) .
The international friendly acts as a rehearsal for both sides ahead of their official participation in the 20th Asian Volleyball Championship 2019 will run from 11-22 September in Iran's capital of Tehran.
The Asian championship's draw pooled team Qatar in Group A along with hosts Iran, Australia and Sri Lanka.
The championship will bring together 16 teams divided into four groups , the first and second team of each group will qualify for the quarter-finals which will be played with a knockout format until the final round.
