QOA, Aljazeera Media Institute sign MoU

Doha, October 22, 2019-(QNA) - Aljazeera Media Institute and Qatar Olympic Academy (QOA) signed Monday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to achieve maximum benefit in the fields of media training and organize joint training programs between the two sides.

Executive Director of QOA Saif Mohammed Al Nuaimi and Director of Aljazeera Media Institute Mounir Daymi signed the MoU.

The MoU includes media and sports consultations, joint workshops, and seminars and conferences in sports media, as well as the exchange of equipment and technical expertise in the processing of media institutions.

Executive Director of QOA Saif Mohammed Al Nuaimi said that QOA has offered many courses in the field of sports media in cooperation with the International Sports Press Association, which has been very popular over the past years, therefore, QOA decided to be more specialized in this area through this agreement with Aljazeera Media Institute.

Al Nuaimi pointed out that through this cooperation, both institutions will work together to organize the most specialized courses in the field of sports media in partnership to develop the competencies of human cadres inside and outside the State of Qatar professionally and benefit from the expertise of Al Jazeera Media Network.

Director of Aljazeera Media Institute Mounir Daymi expressed delight at signing the MoU with the QOA, which ranks among the 20 most active and influential Olympic academies around the world through its programs for the Qatari and neighboring communities.

Daymi added that the MoU seeks to keep pace with the sports scene and the state of Qatar, especially with the organizing of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, and the State of Qatar's hosting of many international sporting events recently, most recently the 2019 Doha World Athletics Championships and the ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019. He looked forward to a more fruitful cooperation with the Academy shortly through the establishment of courses in the field of sports media. (QNA)
