Team Qatar win Gold and Silver medals in Taekwondo at GCC Women's Games
KUWAIT, October 26, 2019 – Qatar's Ameena Abdulkareem confidently crowned with the gold medal in women's Taekwondo under 53kg event after winning the first place at GCC Women's Games 2019 in Kuwait on Friday.
On the same track of victory, Qatar's Miriam Ali secured the second place to claim the silver medal in the women's Taekwondo under 73 kg event.
Qatar's handball and basketball teams are due to be crowned with the gold medals on Saturday, after they have already secured their titles earlier on Thursday. Both Qatari teams shall play their final games against the hosts on Sunday.
Team Qatar delegation to the games is chaired by Lolwa Al-Marri, President of Qatar Women's Sport Committee , accompanied by 132 athletes, administrators and technical staff members.
