Qatar to take on South Korea in Asian men’s handball final
Kuwait, January 27, 2020-Three-time champions Qatar will take on South Korea in the final match of Asian Men's Handball Championships in Kuwait on Monday.
In the semifinals held on Saturday, Qatar defeated Bahrain 28-24 (HT 14-11) to set a final showdown with South Korea, who edged Japan 34-32 in extra time (5-3) after the scores were locked 29-all at full time.
Qatar are seeking a fourth Asian title, having won the championship in 2014, 2016 and 2018.
Qatar have been champions at the Asian Games in 2014 and 2018. They were runners-up at the World Championships in 2015.
