Qatar Boxing Team Participates in Asian Men's Championship in Dubai

DOHA - The Qatari Boxing Team will participate in the Asian Men's and Women's Boxing Championships in Dubai, which starts Sunday and continues until May 31, with the participation of 237 boxers from 21 countries.

Saeed Al Smikh, in weight 81 kg, and Fahad Al Amiri, in weight 75 kg, accompanied by coach Salim Lazraq, will represent the Qatari team in the championship.

Assistant Secretary of the Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation Khaled Youssef Al Mas chairs the Qatari delegation, which left Saturday to Dubai.

The championship will witness strong competitions, especially from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan boxers, as they have a good reputation even at the global level.

Afghanistan, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, the UAE and Yemen are participating in the tournament.
