Spain wins World Padel Championship

Doha: With attendance of H.E. President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, 2021 Qatar ooredoo World Padel Championship was concluded at the Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex on Saturday. 

Spain defeated Argentina 2-0 in the final match of Men's event to claim the title while Brazil took the third place after beating France in the third-place match. 

Spain also claimed the title of women's event after beating Argentina in the final match while Italy finished third. 

H.E. ooredoo’s Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Thani, HE President of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation and President of the International Padel Federation Luigi Carraro crowned the winning teams. 

Team Qatar claimed the 16th place after meeting USA in their last match on Saturday. 

Team Qatar Player Mohamed Saadoun Al Kuwari thanked the Qatar Olympic Committee and the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation for their support to team Qatar during the Asia- Africa Qualifications and during the 2021 World Championship.
