QOC provides multiple events and activities on its social media platforms

DOHA, April 28, 2020 – The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) is providing multiple activities and sport events on its social media platforms to encourage the public and followers to exercise sport activities at home, abiding by quarantine measures, adopting social distancing guidelines in effort to maintain their physical and psychological health.

QOC is encouraging the individual sport as the best method to maintain the health of the individuals and society physically and psychologically .

Among QOC’s vital events and activities is Team Qatar Virtual Run which takes place every Thursday & Friday for 5km, 10km and 21km , along with 2020 Qatar Olympic Committee E-Tournament (FIFA & Pro Evolution 20) , as well as “ Think with Qatar team” program which offers questions to the public on events organized by the QOC on its social media platforms, ultimately the winners in these events shall get valuable prizes.

At local media level , the Al Kass TV’s broadcaster Mishaal Shakir delivers show at 11pm titled “ Live with Qatar team” during the holy month of Ramadan , the show hosts athlete from Qatar team on every Wednesday and Friday to focus light on the careers of Qatar team athletes and their achievements. The show on its first day has hosted the Qatari rally driver and sport shooter, Nasser Salih Nasser Al-Attiyah who focused light on his sport career and achievements in both Rally and shooting sports.

In another collective effort, a number of team Qatar stars from different sport disciplines are providing online - tips and training sessions to help public people to maintaining fitness during home quarantine. The QOC’s social media platforms also provide online short video clips to encourage public and followers to maintaining self-physical fitness.

In another scene, the diet expert , Mohammed Al Ahraq presents a 55-minute show ( Stay Health with Team Qatar ) via the QOC’s social media platforms to highlight topics encouraging the child nutrition system.​
