QOC extends suspension of all local sport activities until 14th of May
DOHA, May 01, 2020- The Qatar
Olympic Committee (QOC) announced that
it has extended the suspension of all local sport activities and events until
the 14th May to ensure more safety for all employees of the sport organizations and
community members against coronavirus
(COVID-19).
The QOC’s decision is a complementary move comes in line with the preventive measures taken by the State of Qatar to limit the spread of coronavirus by banning public gatherings also in accordance with the recommendations of Ministry of Public Health and National Pandemic Preparedness Committee.
It is worth mentioning that the
QOC had previously suspended all sport activities and events until 30th of
April and announced that sport activities of all age groups across the country have
been suspended until further notice.
