Katowice (QNA) - Qatar's national handball team lost opening match to Germany 27-31 this evening at the Spodek Arena in the Polish city of Katowice in Group E of the 28th IHF 2023 World Men's Championship held in Sweden and Poland until Jan. 29.
The first half of the match ended, with Qatar trailing by five goals against Germany 13-18.
The Qatari national team is scheduled to face Algeria in second match on Sunday.
In other matches of the championship today, Netherlands secured a 29-19 victory over Argentina in Group F, America beat Morocco 28-27 in Group E, while Tunisia tied with Bahrain 27-27 in Group H. (QNA)
