Steady Progress for QOC Beach Games 2023

Doha: The competitions of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Beach Games 2023 in its third edition continued in style at the Cultural Village Katara on Saturday. 

The event is taking place from 10th to 17th of March with more than 800 participants are competing for top honors in seven beach games including football, volleyball, 3x3 basketball, boxing, karate, swimming and Aquathlon.

This current edition of QOC Beach Games is organized in the frame of cooperation between the QOC and the Indonesian Olympic Committee with purpose of transferring the incredible experience it has after hosting the inaugural edition of ANOC World Beach Games in 2019 to their Indonesians counterparts who will  be hosting the next edition from 5th to 12th August, 2023.

Aziz Hadaj claimed the first place in in men’s Aquathlon Event ahead of Rachid Boudalla in the second place while Leon Berchie finished third. 

In women’s event, Adeline Cormary took the first place while Daneila Sposi and Arancha Barcenilla claimed the second and third places respectively. 

Men’s football event also began on Friday where Lusail defeated Al Dakhira 8-0 while Green Owl Overpowered Al Quds 7-2. Moreover, Dukhan edged past Police Institute 4-0. 

On the other hand, Edge Fitness began their campaign at Men’s volleyball event with a 2-0 victory over Al Shawaheen while Police Sports Association edged past Al Dafna 2-0.
