Arabian Camel Festival gets positive response
DOHA, April 20, 2018 - HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) honored the top winners of four main races of HH the Emir Cup at the Arabian Camel Festival took place at Al Shahaniya Racetrack on Thursday.
On the event' sixth day, Shahaniya camel dominated and recorded two victories in the races, while camel “ Ashwaq" owned by Mohammed bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani clinched the third race. On the same track of victory, Shaqab camel “ Gabal" seized the fourth race.
The prestigious Arabian Camel Festival competitions received overwhelming response from camel race lovers, owners, breeders and fans.
In a press release on Thursday, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, the QOC President confirmed that Annual Arabian Camel Festival bears a beloved name to hearts therefore participation in such event is a greater proud for all.
