Curtains come down on Asian Para Games in Indonesia
JAKARTA, Indonesia, October 14, 2018 - Curtains came down on the prestigious 2018 Asian Para Games which concluded successfully in Indonesia's capital Jakarta on Saturday.
Qatar team made impressive performance in both Goal Ball and athletics. In the games closing ceremony on Saturday, Qatar's Mohammed Hammam was the flag bearer of the country delegation.
Qatar's Sarah Masood earned the country's sole medal in the event when she claimed the silver medal in the Women's Shot Put F33.
Qatar delegation to the Games was headed by Mr. Abdulgader Al Motwa, the Assistant Secretary General of Qatar Paralympics Committee.
Under the logo (Unity in Diversity) the 2018 Asian Para Games brought together 3000 athletes with various disabilities from 43 Asian nations who competed in 18 sport event.
