Curtains come down on QOC Winter Camp
DOHA, March 31 , 2019 - The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) through its sport Affairs Department organized the Beach Games Championship at the conclusion of its annual winter camp (Al Enna Project ) at Sealine resort on Friday.
The championship brought together over 700 participants distributed into 42 teams and competed in seven sports including 3x3 Basketball event, football, handball , athletics, volleyball, Rugby and Hockey.
Senior QOC officials, directors of departments, organizing committee members attended the winter camp closing scene on Friday. Directors of departments crowned the winners in festive sport scene.
In the 3x3 Basketball event, Lebanese community team claimed the first place, while Red Devils team seized the first place in beach handball game. In athletics, Al Ahli stars grabbed the first place. In football game, Al Adaam team won the first place, Al Khor team claimed volleyball game title, Ummsaid team clinched the first place in Hockey , while Horikenz team won the Rugby game.
The QOC's project brought together individuals of Qatar society with different age groups who involved in several sport, social and cultural events.
Al Enna is a tourism development project that aims to enhance the winter camping experience in Qatar, protect the environment, and ensure public safety.
