DOHA, April 26, 2018 - HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani crowned the winners in the eight main rounds of Al Hail and Al Zamoul competitions at the end of the annual festival of Arabian Thoroughbred Camel Race for the Sword of the HH the Emir, at Al Shahaniya camel racetrack on Wednesday afternoon.
HH the Emir awarded the winners of the four main final rounds of Al Hail and Al Zamoul competitions (open rounds) for the camels of Their Excellencies Sheikhs with golden trophies. Al Shahania camels won the four races, with "Qalmima" winning the Golden Sword and "Medhyar" winning the Golden Shelfa, while "Fajjaj" and Zahi" won the two Golden Daggers.
HH the Emir also awarded the winners of the four main final rounds of Al Hail and Al Zamoul competitions for the camels of tribes members on the silver trophies. Owners of "Barouq" Jarallah Mohammed bin Talib bin Aqail and Abdulhadi bin Khalil Al Shahwani won the Silver Sword.
HH the Emir awarded Saif bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Khayareen, owner of "Rasmiah" with the Silver Shelfa, and awarded Hamad Mohammed Obaid Al Meraizeq and Mansour Mohammed Al Saif Al Khayareen with the Silver Draggers.
HH the Emir then honored the companies that sponsored this years event.
HH the Emir had attended the four main final rounds of the annual festival of Arabian Thoroughbred Camel Race for the Sword of the HH the Emir. The awarding ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, senior officials and camel racing enthusiasts.
