Mousa Shanan qualifies to doubles quarterfinals in Qatar Men’s ITF World Tennis Tour

DOHA, December 13, 2019 - Qatar's Mousa Shanan qualified to the quarterfinals of doubles event at Qatar Men's ITF World Tennis Tour organised by the Qatar Tennis Federation in cooperation with the ITF at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

Shanan and Amar Al Amin of Ireland reached the quarterfinals after beating Frances Pare of Canada and Keven Portman of Italy 6-1 3-1 7-10.

In the quarterfinals, they will take on the Polish duo of Daniel Sek ad Masij Smola.

The main draw of the event began on Tuesday with the participation of 32 players in the singles event and 16 teams in the doubles event.

The ITF Men's World Tennis Tour serves as the entry-level for professional tennis. It sits between the ITF Junior World Tennis Tour and the elite levels of men's professional tennis. The results of ITF tournaments incorporated with the ATP Ranking, which enables professionals to progress to the ATP Challenger Tour and, ultimately, the ATP Tour.
