Qatar and Al Gharafa victorious in Arab Handball Championship
TUNISIA, March 19, 2018 – Qatar Sport Club confidently secured its second win in the prestigious 14th Arab Handball Championship of Winners' Cup 2018, after defeating Algeria's Esperance Sportive Arzew 41-34 in group B clash held in Sfax , Tunisia on Sunday.
Sunday's victory made Qatar SC tally to jump to 4 points from two wins and one defeat, cementing its chance to reach the last four stage.
Qatar's second representative, Al Gharafa secured its first victory in the championship, following a comfortable 28-19 win over Moroccan's Mouloudia Oujda.
It is worth mentioning that, Al Gharafa are in Group A alongside Tunisia's Jemmal, Algeria's Ain Touta, Libya's Al Ahli Tripoli and Moroccan Mouloudia Oujda.
Group B consists of Qatar SC, Tunisia's CS Sakiet Ezzit, the defending champions, Saudi Arabia's Al Ahli, Libya's Al Ittihad Club, Algeria's Esperance Sportive Arzew and Oman's Ahli Sidab.
