Qatar athletes shine in Arab Championship
AMMAN, April 22 , 2018 – Qatar Athletics team kept its winning streak by claiming two gold medals and one silver medal on the second day of Arab Youth Athletics Championship 2018 taking place in Amman, Jordan.
Qatar's Mohanad Khamis made impressive performance on Saturday to clinch the gold medal in the 3000m steeplechase and teammate Rania Raed confidently claimed the discus throw.
Qatar Athletics Federation Assistant Secretary General Talal Mansour appreciated Qatar young athletes achievements.
Qatar team is represented by elite young athletes including Saoud Abdulaziz Al Homaidi in (110m steeplechase), Jabir Hilal in (100m and 200m events), Abdulrahman Al Khater (100m and 200m events) , Mohannad Khamis ( 3000m steeplechase and 1500m) along other names in discus throw, high jump and shot put.
