Qatar beach volleyball team qualify to second round of Espinho Tournament
Espinho, July 20, 2019-The Qatari beach volleyball team (1) including Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan qualified to the second round of the four-star Espinho stop on the 2019 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour after beating Italy's Abbiati Andreatta 2-0 (21-16 21-14) on Friday.
In their second match, the Qatari duo suffered a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Spain's Herrera/Gavira.
It's worth mentioning that the Qatari duo of Cherif Younousse and Ahmad Tijan claimed the fourth place in the FIVB world ranking issued recently.
The Qatari team collected 5120 points after participating in a huge of number international and continental tournaments.
Christian Sorum and Anders Mol of Norway led the way with 7600 points ahead of Russia's Krasilnikov/Stoyanovskiy in the second place and Poland's Bryl/Fijalek in the third place.
