Qatar defeat Kazakhstan in Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships

Beijing, May 11, 2019 - Qatar Volleyball Team recorded their third victory at the 2019 Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships in Maoming, China when they defeated Kazakhstan 21-12 21-12 on Friday.

The Qatari team including Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan began their campaign in the championships with a straight victory over Japan's Ikeda Jumpei and Shiratori Katsuhiro on Thursday.

In their second match, the Qatari duo edged past New Zealand's Nicklin Alani and Hartles Thomas.

32 teams are taking part in the tournament. The Qatari team (1) held a closed training camp in China in preparation for the tournament. The volleyball association received an invitation for international referee Ahmed Hussein to participate in the Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships.
