Qatar to face Japan in 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers
TOKYO, Japan, November 30, 2018 – Qatar's senior basketball team will lock horns against Japanese counterparts in a crucial clash in 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Asia qualifications in Japan on Friday.
Qatar's squad is extremely determined to beat the home side in order to keep their qualification dream alive, after first round's two disappointed defeats against Australia (43-95) and Philippines ( 81-92).
Following Friday clash, Qatar team will travel to Melbourne to face Australia in the fourth round on Monday and will play Philippines in the fifth round on February 21 in Doha.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams.
The tournament will be hosted in China and it will mark a new era for the competition as described.
