Qatar finish second overall in Asian Indoor Athletics Championships

TEHRAN, February 4, 2018 – Qatar Athletics team ended its campaign in the prestigious 8^th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships on high note, claimed a total of 9 medals at the conclusion of the event on Saturday.

Qatar athletes sparked in the three day event to claim 9 medals including 4 gold medal, two silver and two bronze.

Qatar Olympian champion, Mutaz Barshim claimed the gold medal in the high jump event , his teammate Abduelah Haroun won the 400m event while the quartet Abduellah Haroun, Abdullah Samba, Mohammed Al Noor and Mohammed Nasser clinched the Gold medal in 400x4 relay.

The three day championship brought together 360 athletes representing 22 Asian countries.
