Qatar finish third in Arab Youth Athletics Championship
AMMAN, April 20 , 2018 – Qatar team managed in the third place overall at the conclusion of the Arab Youth Athletics Championship 2018 in Amman, Jordan on Monday.
Youth team made impressive performance in the prestigious event , clinching total of 8 medals, including five gold medals, one silver and two bronze.
Elite young athletes represented Qatar in the event, including Saoud Abdulaziz Al Homaidi in (110m steeplechase), Jabir Hilal in (100m and 200m events), Abdulrahman Al Khater (100m and 200m events) , Mohannad Khamis ( 3000m steeplechase and 1500m) along other names in discus throw, high jump and shot put.
The prestigious event brought together 15 nations, including Qatar, Lebanon, Palestine, Tunisia, Iraq, Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Libya, Djibouti, Mauritania and hosts Jordan.
