Qatar football team arrive in Malaysia for 2018 World Cup qualifier
Malacca, Malaysia, August 30, 2017- The Qatar national team reached Malacca, Malaysia, on Tuesday for their Group A 2018 World Cup qualifier against Syria.
The match will be played at the neutral venue at Hang Jebat Stadium, Krubong, on Thursday.
Qatar, who are fifth in the group, hope to do well against their opponents given their pre-match preparations which saw them beat Turkmenistan in a friendly 2-1 here last week.
The team also had an overseas camp in the UK where they played against Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Andorra.
They will play their last match in the group against China at the Khalifa International Stadium on September 5.
