Qatar in Group D of the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship

​Copenhagen, June 26, 2018- The draw of the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship, held in Copenhagen on Monday, put Qatar in Group D with Sweden, Angola, Egypt, Argentina, and Hungary.

Group A, which will be played in Berlin, includes Germany, South Korea, Brazil, Serbia, Russia, and France. Group B, which will be played in Munich, consists of Croatia, Japan, Iceland, Macedonia, Bahrain, and Spain. Group C, which will be played in Herning, includes Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Tunisia, Austria, and Norway. Group D will be played in Copenhagen.

The tournament will take place in a new system where the participating teams play the first round in the form of groups leading to the nomination of three teams of each group to the main role, which will be in the form of two groups, and the first and second of each group will qualify to the semi-finals.

The teams that finish the first round in the fourth, fifth and sixth places will compete in the International Handball Federation President's Cup.
