Qatar lose to Italy in FIVB Las Vegas Open

Las Vegas, USA, October 21, 2018 – Qatar's beach volleyball team including Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan suffered a straight set defeat at the hands of Italy's Daniele Lupo and Paolo Nicolai in the second round of the FIVB Las Vegas Open yesterday.

After the completion of pool play, Round of 24 and Round of 16, beach volleyball duos of Brazil, Italy, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain and the United States secured spots into the quarterfinals of the World Tour four-star event in American soil.

The Qatari duo of Cherif Younousse and Ahmad Tijan made a great leap in the world rankings issued in October 2018.

Qatar Beach Volleyball team jumped to the 9^th place with 4440 points.
