Qatar men’s junior handball team lose to Japan in Friendly Game

Doha, June 20, 2018 - The Qatari men's junior handball team suffered a 21-22 defeat at the hands of their Japanese counterparts on Tuesday in their first test match in preparation for the 16th Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship, which will be held in Oman from 16 to 26 July and will qualify for the 2019 World Championships in Spain next year.

The Qatari team will leave after that for Tunisia for a camp starting from June 24 till July 5 where the Qatari team will play four matches, two of them against the Tunisian national team and two against local teams.

The draw of the 16th Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship, put Qatar team in the second group alongside Iraq, Palestine and Syria.

Qatar will start the competition by playing against Syria on July 16, and the Qatari team will play their second match against Palestine on July 17, and they will finish their first round by playing against Iraq on July 18. ​
