Qatar, Mexico play to draw in friendly
DOHA, October 09, 2017-Qatar's national Olympic team played out a 2-2 draw against Mexico yesterday in a friendly match at Al Sadd Club's Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The match was a preparation for Qatar ahead of the U-23 Asia Cup, which will take place in China from January 9 to 30.
The Maroon have secured their place in the finals after topping their group in the qualifiers that were staged in Doha in July. Mexico's international status as one of the big teams around the world means the match was beneficial for Qatar and will reflect on the team's preparations for the finals and increase the experience of the players.
