Qatar Olympic Committee to celebrate IOC’s 125th Anniversary

DOHA, June 20, 2019 - On the occasion of the Olympic Day that the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) hosts annually as a celebration of sport and Olympic movement which will also mark the 125th International Olympic Committee's anniversary.

This year's event is in collaboration with the Qatar Swimming Association where a friendly tournament is bringing people in Qatar together through sport. This Sunday “Swimming for All Tournament" will be held at Hamad Aquatics Complex in Doha, starting at 4:30pm. The event will include multiple swimming activities of three age groups; U17, U23 and 24 years old and over.

The groups will be competing in 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 4x50m freestyle however the relay event is only open for U17 and U23 and 24 years old and older.

The registration for the competition is underway and all activities will be conducted according to the International Swimming Federation rules and regulations.

There are awards assigned to the top nine places in each age group and the top three winners in each category will receive QAR 1,000 prize money. While in Relay race the first-place winners will receive QAR 4,000, runners-up will get QAR 3,000 and the third place will receive QAR 2,000.
