Qatar Shooting Team line up for ISSF World Cup
DOHA, August 20, 2019- The Qatari shooting team left on Monday for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for a five-day training camp ahead of the ISSF World Cup (Rifle and Pistol), which will be held from August 26 to September 3.
More than 500 athletes, representing 66 teams will participate in the event which will serve as a qualification tournament for 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The Qatari national team finished the last training camp at Lusail Shooting Club fields under the supervision of the technical and training staff of the association, before participating in the external training camp.
On the other hand, the Qatari shooters will begin their campaign in the skeet event at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun in Finland on Wednesday. The tournament began on Tuesday and will be concluded on August 23.
Qatar's squad includes Nasser Al Attiyah, Rashed Saleh, Masoud Saleh, Saeed Abu Shareb and Reem Al Sharshani.
