DOHA - The General Assembly Meeting of the Qatar’s Winter Sports Committee (QWSC) was held at the Qatar Olympic Committee headquaters on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Rashid Magid Al Suleiti, QWSC president, Mr. Hassan Hissam Al-Hebabi (Secretary General), Mr. Hamad Salah Baker (Assistant Secretary General), Mr. Mohammed Abdalla Mohammed (QWSC board member) and Ebtisam Mubarak Al Abdalla (General Assembly member).
Representatives from the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) were also presence at the GA meeting on Tuesday , including Mr. Essa Ali Ghanem ( Administrative support unit), Mr. Mane Ahmed Al Jaal ( senior sport specialist) and Mr. Khaled Ahmed ( Legal expert).
The QWSC President opened the meeting with a message of thanks to the QOC for its constant support to all activities and events hosted by the Winter Sports Committee.
The meeting discussed all proposals and plans on table to increase the QWSC’s participation in all related - regional and international events , as well as to resume the committee’s activities after being held on due to COVID-19 period.
Most notably, the QWSC team participated in the 2021 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships held from November 6-13 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
