DOHA, May 17, 2019-The Qatar football Association (QFA) announced the squad of Qatar U19 national team to participate in FIFA U-20 World Cup to be staged in Poland from May 23 to June 15.

Coached by Portuguese Bruno Miguel, the Qatari squad included Salah Hassan, Abdullah Ali, Hamam Ahmed, Shehab Al Lithy, Nasser Al Yazidi, Ahmed Al Sebaie, Nasser Bir, Essa Ahmed, Khaled Mohammed, Yousef Ayman, Abdulrashed Ibrahim, Marawan Sharif, Mohamed Al Bayati, Ahmed Suhail, Hashedm Ali, Yousef Abdulrazaq, Andria Siapotra, Bahaa Al Lithy, Ahmed Al Menhali, Ali Mallalah and Abdullah Al Marisi.

Qatar are clubbed with Ukraine, Nigeria and USA in Group D.

Qatar will be making their fourth FIFA U-20 World Cup appearance at Poland 2019 after making their debut in 1981 when they finished second.

They hosted the competition in 1996, but bowed out in the first round. They had a similar outcome 20 years later when they finished at the bottom of Group C in New Zealand 2015.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup – now into its 22nd edition – is contested by the under-20 national teams of the member associations of FIFA.

England won the previous tournament, but won't defend crown after losing 3–0 to Norway in a play-off for the final qualifying place at the 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Finland.
