Qatar’s Hassouna wins gold medal in Asian Youth Weightlifting Championship

UZBEKISTAN, April 30, 2018 – Qatar's Faris Hassona confidently made great achievement for Qatar by claiming three gold medals for Qatar in the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championship on Sunday.

The 19 - year old Qatari weightlifter sparkled and made impressive performance in the 95kg event to claim three gold medals in the prestigious event that brought together top weightlifters from Iran, China, Japan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The event acts as a qualifying tournament to the 2018 IWF Youth World Championships will take place in Argentina in October.
