Qatar's Shooting Team Heads to Mexico for World Cup

DOHA, March 16, 2019 (QNA) - Qatar national team for shooting travelled on Friday to Mexico to participate of the men left Skate to the Spanish city of Acapulco to participate in the competition of the ISSF World Cup Shotgun, which will take place in Mexico's Acapulco from March 15 to 26.

The State of Qatar is represented by Rashid Saleh Al Athba and Abdulaziz Saleh Al Attiyah for skeet shooting. The team held a training session in Doha before heading to Mexico.

The number of athletes participating in the World Shooting Championship is more than 115 participants, representing 49 teams competing in trap and skeet events. The most prominent teams in the tournament are the United States, Azerbaijan, Australia, Hungary, Brazil, and Germany. There will be a number of Arab and GCC teams who will be seeking qualification to the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
