Qatar’s Younousse and Tijan placed in second spot at FIVB ranking
Doha - Qatar’s beach volleyball stars Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan were named in World No. 2 spot in the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) ranking.
The new list of FIVB ranking was released recently to place the Qatari duo in second place after they collected 4720 points behind the first spot winners Brazilians George and Andre with 4920 points, as the third place went to the Italians duo Nicolai and Cottafava (4080 points).
Most notably , the Qatari duo claimed the bronze medal of Tokyo 2020 Olympics right at the top with 5040 points ahead of Anders Berntsen Mol and Christian Sandlie Sørum of Norway in the second place with 4000 points while Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Losiak of Poland claimed the third place with 3960 points.
